🔒 Fully separate men's and women's spaces
This is not a once-a-month women's night or a shared circuit with divided hours. It is the everyday layout of the studio.
On the men's side and on the women's side, each wing includes:
- 🔥 Dedicated traditional dry sauna
- ❄️ Dedicated cold plunge
- 🚿 Private showers
- 🔐 Secure lockers
- 🧘 Relaxation lounge for post-circuit recovery
Check in, head to your dedicated side, and move through heat, cold, and rest at your own pace. Towels and sandals are provided. Sessions are self-guided, with staff orientation for first-time guests. Learn the full circuit on How It Works.
Why privacy matters for contrast therapy
Contrast therapy asks you to change clothes, sweat hard, step into cold water, and then sit still while your body settles. That is a lot easier when you are not scanning a co-ed room for comfort.
Separate wings help guests:
- Change and shower without sharing the space with the other gender
- Focus on breath and timing in the plunge instead of self-consciousness
- Rest in the lounge after cycles without rushing out the door
- Build a habit they will actually keep
Privacy here is practical. It removes a common reason people delay memberships after they already want the benefits of heat and cold for recovery and reset.
A third option beyond private suites and co-ed rooms
Local guests often feel stuck between two models: a private infrared suite booked by the hour, or a co-ed gym-style sauna. Fire & Ice offers a third path.
Compared with private-suite infrared studios
Private suites are great when you want a locked room for one or two people and infrared heat. Our model is different.
- Traditional dry sauna (rock-heated, high heat, low humidity), not infrared
- Gender-separated wings with a full circuit on each side (sauna, plunge, showers, lounge)
- Room to come with friends of the same gender and treat recovery like a shared ritual
- No need to reserve a private suite for every regular visit
If you have been comparing Naperville-area private suites and still want more privacy than a co-ed floor, a dedicated men's or women's wing in Bolingbrook may fit better than either extreme.
Compared with co-ed facilities
In a co-ed setup, changing areas, saunas, or recovery spaces may be shared across genders (or only split in part). At Fire & Ice, the standard experience is fully separate: dedicated sauna, plunge, showers, lockers, and lounge for men, and the same for women. See also our short answer on the FAQ.
🔥❄️ Traditional dry sauna + cold plunge
We run traditional dry saunas only. Guests alternate heat and cold, then recover in the lounge. Most visits last about 60 to 90 minutes, with time for multiple cycles plus rest.
This page is about the facility and privacy. For pacing, temperatures, and first-visit tips, use How It Works and the FAQ. Language here stays in wellness and recovery: circulation, muscle reset after training, stress relief, and feeling clear-headed after a session. We do not claim medical cures.
Many guests also ask about payment flexibility. Sessions and memberships may be HSA/FSA eligible through our documented process. Details: HSA/FSA.

👥 Social wellness, with separate wings

Privacy does not mean isolation. Bring friends of the same gender and turn contrast therapy into a restorative hangout. The spaces are designed for both quiet solo resets and same-gender social wellness.
Couples and mixed groups still visit: each person uses their dedicated side for the circuit, then reconnects after. Explore options on Pricing or start with a Single Entry Pass.
Luxury design is part of the experience: custom-built saunas, performance cold plunges, and thoughtful details so the space feels calm and high-end, not like a gym afterthought.

FAQ
Is Fire & Ice Sauna co-ed?
No for the standard experience. Men and women have entirely separate, dedicated spaces. Each side has its own traditional sauna, cold plunge, private showers, secure locker room, and lounge.
Do women and men each get a full sauna and cold plunge?
Yes. Each wing is fully appointed for contrast therapy: heat, cold, showers, lockers, and recovery lounge. You are not sharing the core circuit amenities across genders.
Is this infrared or traditional sauna?
Traditional dry sauna only. That higher-heat, low-humidity style is the heat we pair with cold plunge for our contrast circuit.
What should I wear and bring?
A swimsuit or quick-drying athletic wear, plus a water bottle if you like. We provide towels, sandals, and basic shower products. More detail is on the FAQ and What to Bring if that post is live.
How long is a visit?
Plan on about 60 to 90 minutes for multiple heat and cold cycles plus lounge recovery, plus a little time to check in and change.
Can I use HSA or FSA?
Fire & Ice notes HSA/FSA eligibility on site and explains the process on our HSA/FSA page. Follow that page for current steps and documentation.
